Fansipan Cable Car: in 15 minutes up a 3,443m mountain peak

In the past, you had to be a real adventurer and go through the jungle in tropical temperatures to climb the 3,143 meter Fansipan. Today, you can reach the peak in just 15 minutes. But that is not all. We have helped the Fansipan Cable Car in Vietnam set two world records. The cable car not only navigates an altitude difference of more than 1,410 meters, making it the highest of its kind, but it is also a full six kilometers long, making it the longest to date.

We are proud to have supplied 284 sheave liners and profiles for the Fansipan Cable Car. The liners, which were specially developed for use under extreme conditions, dampen vibrations along the entire length of the ropeway. We have effectively demonstrated that our rubber formula is ideal for demanding conditions.
